Many times…and in many instances, “Point and Click E-Contracts“ are the equivalent of pen and paper agreements. The advent of “Cyber Monday“ has holiday shoppers running to their PC's with the anticipation of obtaining - oh yeah, it's legal - bargain basement purchase power via the Internet.
The latest phenomenon, launched on the heels of “Black Friday,” is concurred and supported by merchants, vendors, and the mass media. In the turmoil of today's economic woes, I see this as another burden on the consumer at large. “Diamonds are a girl's best friend!” Television commercials electronically blast this one with a vengeance. “Fella's, please…they're telling us that we will not score with the ladies, your significant other, or a sexual encounter/experience if you don't buy her a new diamond latent item for Christmas. The car peddlers use the identical prose with both genders. As I recall, the children used to be the target of Christmas Holiday gift giving while the adults came second. Most children, at least the ones I knew, didn't have any money to spend on anything…least of all presents. And for that matter, many of the adults didn't either.
But we are bombarded anyway - from every direction - to buy, buy, and buy…with no money to buy anything…
Online purchasing power is the other side of the proverbial marketing device. The “caveat emptor” is “click-on-agreements.” This electronic practice is also known as a “shrink-wrap agreement.” This type of contract agreement refers to terms as expressed inside a box in which the goods are packaged. “Shrink-wrap” is a term that describes the plastic cover over a products package, which seals the goods inside. What happens is the party who opens the packaged goods is told that they agree to the terms by keeping whatever is in the box. When a purchaser opens a software package, it is agreeable to abide by the terms of the “limited license agreement.”
Numerous technologies allow electronic documents to be signed. These include digital signatures. Many states have laws governing electronic signatures. The problem is that the State Electronic Signature(s) laws are not uniform. The National Conference of Commissioners on Uniform State Laws and the American Law Institute promulgated the Uniform Electronics Act (UETA) in 1999. This act has been adopted, in part, by more than forty states. A buyer's failure to object to terms contained within a shrink-wrapped software package may constitute an acceptance of the terms - “it's yours…you opened it, you keep it” - by conduct. This responsibility is supported and enforceable, according to section-2 of the Uniform Commercial Code (UCC), the law governing sales contracts provides that any contract for the sale of goods “may be made in any manner sufficient to show (agreement of/to terms offered) agreement, including conduct by both parties which recognizes the existence of a specified contract.”
Offerees, vendors, merchants, and/or sellers who do business via the Internet can protect themselves against contract disputes and legal liability by creating offers that spell out clearly the terms that will govern their transactions. Should offers be accepted, important terms should always (or otherwise) be conspicuous and easily viewed by online buyers.
In virtually every area of law, the use of the Internet to conduct business activities had raised new legal questions - or, more often, new variations on old questions. With respect to jurisdictions, this is certainly true, and cited in The Fundamentals of Business Law, authored by Roger Leroy Miller and Gaylord A. Jentz. “The bench is coming to some consensus regarding commerce cases before the courts that do not really fit into the categories and rules being developed by case law.” This point is the commerce clause in and of Interstate Commerce Regulations, “Pro Tempore” (for the time being).
An “E-Contract” is a contract that is formed electronically. “E-Money” is prepaid funds recorded on a computer or a card (such as a smart card or a stored-value card - a gift card). A “Destination Contract“ is a contract for the sale of goods in which the seller is required or authorized to ship the goods by carrier and deliver them at a particular destination. The seller assumes liability for any losses of damage to the goods until they are tendered at the destination specified in the contract - under the auspices of Business Law in the Online World of Web Contracts and Jurisdiction.
Should a party (one or more persons or entity) encounter contract difficulties or disputes, there are legal steps available to launch a challenge. Any person who is a party to a lawsuit has the opportunity to plead the case before a trial court and then an appellant court, if she or he loses (before at least one level of appellate court), as cited in the statutes of business law. Also, a statement alleging the facts necessary for the court to take jurisdiction - a brief summary of the facts necessary to show that the plaintiff is entitled to a remedy, and a statement of the remedy the plaintiff is seeking. In most cases, the defendant or the attorney for the defense will file a motion of “Expost Facto” (a statute of limitations or motion to erase). But the complaint and/or argument remains - “Resipsa Loquitur” (the facts speak for themselves).
All - in - all, the complaint and answer (and the counter claim and reply), taken together are called the pleadings. The pleadings inform each party of the other's claims and specify the issues or disputed questions involved in the case.
So when you go running to the PC to order that new stereo, television, camera, cell-phone, kindle, Mitsubishi SUV, lap top, or garter belt…remember - “Let the buyer beware!”
You might end up in court - and still with No Money.

Are you looking to furnish your dollhouse or your child’s dollhouse inexpensively? Are you looking for nice, realistic items to add? If you answered yes to the above, than maybe printables are the solution for you.
Printables are accessories and furnishings that are meant to be printed out from a printer and folded and glued into shape. They are nice, inexpensive and fairly easy to make.
If you have no printer and would like to use printables anyway
I found myself in a bit of a dilemma when I decided to use printables. I had no printer ink, nor the cash to buy any. So out necessity I came up with an alternate plan that works spectacularly. I pasted the printables I wanted to use into a 8 x 10 image in Paint Shop Pro (any image program should work fine so long as it saves things with good clarity.) I then filled in the spaces as much as possible utilizing all the areas I could leaving a small area between each to cut them apart.
I have a memory card reader installed on my PC, so I put my memory card in the slot and saved my image right to the card. I then went to Wal-Mart’s photo kiosk and made an 8×10 printout of the image.
The sizes of the printables were slightly reduced, but it works perfectly. The color won’t wipe off like it could on print paper and the thick weight is both a good thing for durability and a bit of a hindrance when it comes to folding and construction. You also would no longer need to spray them if done on photograph paper.
What items can you find as printables?
You can find just about anything under the sun as a printable. I’ve seen money, office supplies, furniture, frames, tea, plates, candy bars, junk foods, crooking supplies, toys, holiday decorations, clothing labels, holiday card, gift bags, gift boxes and more.
Printables without having to print anything out
If you don’t want to or cannot print anything out there’s another option to use as well. I’ve found some great images in magazines and catalogs that could be used as pirntables for your dollhouse.
Some disposable children’s plates ads have mini plates on them to show the variety of designs. Clip these plates out and glue them to cardstock or something of similar weight. Turn up the edges a bit so they have a three dimensional look.
Paintings in catalogs often are about the right scale for a dollhouse as well. Some already have nice frames around them and are ready to use. For a glassy look to your framed printable paintings try using the clear plastic inserts on food or toy packages. Remove the insert carefully so as not to dent it and glue or tape it to your faux painting.
I’ve also found dollhouse sized bibs, toys, videos, undergarments, drinks and food, books and magazines in catalogs and magazine ads. All you need to do is look around a bit.
Organizing your printables
After a while you’ll find your self with a stack of printables to make and magazine clippings to use as printables as well. How do you organize them for storage while you slowly make them? I use a simple ziplock baggie system. One bag per category of: Animals, toys, food, art, office supplies, magazines and books, clothing food and drink and a miscellaneous bag.
Where to find printables
There are several sites offering free printables for your personal use. You however are not allowed to sell or profit from them. It is advised that you use a heavier stock paper to print them on for durability. It is also recommended that you spray your printables to make them less likely to smudge or smear with use and playing.

In Part One of Alternatives to Fresh Flower Bridal Bouquets, reasons why some brides may want an alternative to a fresh flower bridal bouquet was discussed. Edible bridal bouquet options were discussed as alternatives to fresh flowers. Part Two of Alternatives to Fresh Flower Bridal Bouquets discusses crystal bouquets, feather bouquets, and porcelain flower bouquets as options for brides who want an alternative to fresh flowers in their bridal bouquets.
Crystal Bouquets
Many contemporary brides who desire an alternative to carrying fresh flowers down the aisle are opting to carry a crystal bouquet on their wedding day. A realistic-looking alternative to fresh flowers are porcelain flowers. Porcelain flower bouquets are usually made up of individually hand-crafted and painted porcelain flowers that are arranged to make a bouquet.
Porcelain flower bouquets are an excellent alternative to fresh flowers if the bride wishes to be able to display her bouquet after the wedding as a keepsake or use it as an heirloom object. Porcelain flowers are wilt and fade-proof and can be dusted easily. Like fresh flower bouquets, porcelain flower bouquets can be fragile so brides should handle them gently. Most brides will want to make other arrangements if they want to toss their bouquet on their wedding day because of the delicate nature of porcelain flowers.
Depending on the kind of arrangement the bride chooses for her bridal bouquet, porcelain flower bouquets can be a heavier alternative to fresh flower bouquets. Keep this in mind when selecting the size of the porcelain flowers arrangement and the duration of time the bride will be carrying it around.

Something is missing from the doors of our local retail and grocery stores. A message in large black letters on fluorescent orange or pink poster board should be posted in plain sight for every potential customer to read before one toe crosses the threshold:
“Please dress like respectable adults when visiting our store. Leave the lounge pants and pajama bottoms at home.
Outdoor footwear required. No slippers, please. Please pull up your pants, regardless of current fashion trends.”

For a short time last year, I worked in a small convenience store on the weekends. I saw everything from excessive cleavage (not always upper body) to teenagers walking like they just hopped of horses, in an effort to keep their pants from dropping to the floor. Lounge pants and pajama bottoms traveled in and out on a regular basis. One man even showed up decked out in a full set of blue satin top and bottoms. If memory serves, a ragged pair of dark gray slippers pulled it all together.
Many shoppers in my area can be seen at Wal-Mart, donning plaid flannel lounge pants. Perhaps they ran out of laundry detergent and the only available pants sported a sea of multi-color jalapeno peppers or a galaxy of stars peppering a dark blue universe. Sports fans are easy to spot as well. Their futile attempts to camouflage pajama pants by wearing a coordinating team sweatshirt and ball cap fools no one. If you can use the time and energy it takes to go to a store, why not take an extra minute to change your pants? Chances are you’ve already dropped a glob of onion dip on your lap watching the game.
Certain circumstances may require a hasty exit from home, not allowing time for a change of clothing. Medical emergencies, fires, midnight cravings, a visit from the in-laws and a few other exceptions are acceptable reasons. Most people can discern the difference, while others continue to shamelessly visually assault us.
Restaurants have been reminding people for years to wear shoes and shirts if service is expected inside the establishments. It seems good common sense would prevail before a reminder becomes necessary. I think I can speak for the majority when I say that the sight of an overweight middle-aged man with back fur eating at the table next to mine in a family steak house is a serious appetite suppressant. I guess it depends on your level of hunger at the time.
A little pride in one’s appearance goes a long way. So show off those new jeans! Wear those Birkenstocks without socks! Walk with pride among the other adult shoppers, knowing your favorite flannel Daffy Duck pants await you at home.
